I worked in a leading Oil PSU company for more than 3 decades before superannuating in the year 2020 and completed LLB Degree in Aug’2023. I had flair and keen interest for English Language from my childhood even though there was no opportunity for me to nurture the same due to professional obligations. I think many aspiring students (especially those studying in vernacular medium) despite possessing core domain / subject knowledge are not achieving the desired level of success in their academic and professional careers as they lack the proficiency in spoken and written English and here my role as a English Language Mentor lies to groom and hone the English Language skills.
A good mentor takes genuine interest in the mentee and invests in his or her success. I think a good mentor is a good listener and puts the effort into figuring out what the mentee needs, the mentee's strengths and weaknesses in the field, etc. and I reckon that I shall fit the bill as far as the expectations out of a mentor are concerned.
